  • Invited lectures (IL): 25 min + 5 min for discussion
  • Oral Communications (OC): 12 min + 3 min for discussion
  • Technical Communications (TC): 10 min

PowerPoint files with oral presentations should be given on site to the organizers as early as possible, latest before the first lecture on the day of the talk. If any specific facility should be required, please contact the conference secretariat in advance.

Guidelines for poster presentations

Poster files should be sent by e-mail to aicat2020@uniud.it by Sunday January 24nd to allow to prepare the “Poster session” webpage which could be accessed since the beginning of the conference. A link to “Poster session” webpage with all the posters will be sent to the registered participants who will be able to download and read them during all the time of the congress. The poster page will be put offline at the end of the congress.

Poster files must be in .pdf file format. Authors can opt between two alternative posters styles:

  • As “traditional” poster: pdf in A1 size (594 width × 841mm height, portrait orientation)
  • As “presentation”-style poster: max. 8 pdf slides (size A4, one slide per page, landscape orientation).

Subject of the e-mail: POSTER - <Presenting Author>

Poster Filename: <SURNAME OF THE PRESENTING AUTHOR>.pdf. If more than one poster is presented, it should be numbered (SURNAME_1.pdf, SURNAME_2.pdf …).

Authors are recommended to ensure the good quality of text and figures to allow the comfortable reading on a screen. Recommended file size should not exceed 3-5 MB. Files of excessive size will be compressed by the organization, with possible loss of resolution.

On the poster, it should be clearly identified the person who is the presenting author to be contacted by interested participants. Author can be contacted through MSTeams chat/one-to-one conference or alternative contact modes. Therefore, besides the email address, it is suggested that other ids for chat/call apps can be optionally provided to favor contacts and scientific discussion (e.g. skype/meet/zoom/linkedin/messenger/telegram id’s…).

“Flash presentation” of posters should be requested by the presenting author when submitting the poster file. Flash presentations will be given at the end of the first congress day during the virtual poster session. Flash presentations have a duration of 3 min. and maximum 4 pptx/pdf slides. For the flash presentations, no Q&A are planned, as the scope is to attract audience to the pdf posters and favor individual contacts.
